Riverwalk Mural Project
In honor of America’s 250th Birthday, the McHenry Riverwalk Foundation is creating a one-of-a-kind community mural of 650 individual tiles that will come together as one powerful image installed along the Fox River on the McHenry Riverwalk.
ShamROCKS the Fox
March 13-15, 2026
A three-day festival filled with Irish spirit, riverfront traditions, and community fun. Highlights include the Fox River dyeing, Shamrock Shuffle 5K, parade, live music, and local food vendors—all set in the heart of downtown McHenry, Illinois.
Breaking New Ground
In Summer of 2019, McHenry Riverwalk Foundation completed Phase Three, delivering on its promise of a newly constructed walkway joining the Pedestrian bridge at South Riverside Drive to Miller Point with a newly constructed walkway that lines the northern shore of Boone Creek.
