McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes Are Coming in 2023!

McHenry Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of McHenry, McHenry Community High School District 156, and local McHenry Businesses are developing McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes and other recreational activities at Miller Point Park to provide a much-needed economic development boost and viable tourism attraction.

Located next to the McHenry Riverwalk on Boone Creek, the McHenry Riverwalk Shoppes will serve as a link to the retail and restaurants that already exist in our downtown areas in either direction. Creating a retail experience will encourage visitors to “make a day” of shopping, eating, and playing at existing businesses.

Breaking New Ground

In Summer of 2019, McHenry Riverwalk Foundation completed Phase Three, delivering on its promise of a newly constructed walkway joining the Pedestrian bridge at South Riverside Drive to Miller Point with a newly constructed walkway that lines the northern shore of Boone Creek.
