Summer Music Series
Each summer, the Riverwalk comes alive with music, drawing residents and visitors to the heart of downtown McHenry. These free concerts create opportunities to gather, explore local businesses, and experience the energy and momentum that continue to shape our community.
ChalkWalk Festival
The Riverwalk Chalkwalk Festival transforms the Riverwalk into a vibrant outdoor gallery where artists of all ages create colorful works of art directly on the pavement. The event celebrates creativity, encourages community participation, and showcases the Riverwalk as a destination for art, culture, and connection.
Riverwalk Mural Project
In honor of America’s 250th Birthday, the McHenry Riverwalk Foundation is creating a one-of-a-kind community mural of 650 individual tiles that will come together as one powerful image installed along the Fox River on the McHenry Riverwalk.
Breaking New Ground
In Summer of 2019, McHenry Riverwalk Foundation completed Phase Three, delivering on its promise of a newly constructed walkway joining the Pedestrian bridge at South Riverside Drive to Miller Point with a newly constructed walkway that lines the northern shore of Boone Creek.
