Permanent Flagpole Dedication At Miller Point

The Catholic Order of Foresters, St. Mary Court #594 has made a gift of a permanent flagpole to the McHenry Riverwalk Foundation to commemorate the McHenry Forester’s 125th anniversary. John J.  Smith, President of the Riverwalk Foundation was on hand at Miller Point to accept the gift from the group led by Jim Szamlewski, Jon Meyer and several other Foresters. The “Star Spangled Banner” was played by Forester Mike Freund as an American flag was raised by US Army veteran and Forester Gary Snell.
